Faculty of Health Sciences

İstanbul Arel University Faculty of Health Sciences was opened as a School of Health Sciences in 2009; it was transformed into the Faculty of Health Sciences by a decision published in the Official Gazette on June 1, 2021.

Aiming to provide a quality and professional university education, to contribute to Türkiye’s social and economic transformation, to support research and innovation, to train and develop its own instructors, and most importantly to train well-equipped healthcare professionals in the future, İstanbul Arel University Faculty of Health Sciences continues its education with 7 basic education program and 55 academic staff.

Within the Faculty of Health Sciences, there are Nutrition and Dietetics, Child Development, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing, Audiology (under construction), Health Management and Social Work programs. There are 10 professors, 2 associate professors, 18 assistant professors, 12 Instructors and 13 Research Assistants in the faculty’s academic staff.

The Faculty of Health Sciences has graduated a total of 2798 students since 2013. The number of active students in the 2022-2023 academic year is 1008. Within the scope of the Erasmus Program, students can do internships in contracted countries, especially in Germany, and after graduation, they also have the opportunity to work in countries where there is a shortage of healthcare personnel.

The 11 scientific and educational commissions within the Faculty of Health Sciences produce solutions for the functioning of students and academic staff during the academic period and continue their work to manage the quality of education and the accreditation process of the Faculty in particular. The Faculty of Health Sciences also provides opportunities for its students who meet the appropriate conditions to do double major and minor programs within the University and Faculty. The Faculty of Health Sciences continues to serve in Cevizlibağ Health Campus, where it is located together with the Faculty of Medicine, as a large and well-equipped family, together with the Audiology Department, which will accept students for the first time in the next academic year.
