Ataturk’s Principles and the History of the Revolution Department carries out educational activities under the Rectorate of Istanbul Arel University. Ataturk’s Principles and the History of the Revolutioncourse, which is one of the compulsory common courses in accordance with Article 5/i of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 and which is taken by students through distance education, is given by our Department.

 

Ataturk’s Principles and the History of the Revolution Department aims to help Istanbul Arel University students become useful citizens of their country by enabling them to comprehend the Ataturkist thought system. Our department aims to raise a generation that adheres to Atatürk’s principles and revolutions with the experiences gained from the recent history.

 

Atatürk Principles and History of the Revolution course is taught in the first grade and for two semesters as a joint course of all departments within our University. In this course, which is given in order to ensure that Atatürk’s principles and revolutions are taught and adopted, the modernization process is handled as a whole in a causal relationship.

 

This process is examined and discussed within the framework of the political, economic and social transformations that took place from the end of the 19th century to the present. In this course, Atatürk’s principles and revolutions are examined together with social transformations in the historical context. In addition, it is also aimed to use and evaluate the resources for historical research and to obtain information from students on methods and analysis.
